Pienza sopravvive il gusto perchè il buon artigiano
conservi le sue caratteristiche di alta manualità.
Per esempio la pietra
lavorata da Luigi Biagiotti che da molti anni esegue sculture
in pietra arenaria.
Le sue opere rivelano
uno stile istintivo e libero, ma non privo di informazioni
culturali che rimandano la sua ricerca ai diversi periodi
della scultura etrusca e poi romanica.

I suoi altorilievi sembrano
pronti per essere inseriti come capitelli nelle architetture
di questo periodo.
Esegue anche opere in
tuttofondo, interessanti e piacevoli anche per la scelta cromatica
delle pietre. |

A taste for an original
and traditional handicraft still survive in Pienza.
A good example of
it are the sandstone sculptures by Luigi Biagiotti.
His works reveal a
free and instinctive style not without a cultural background
which reminds us of the different periods of the etruscan
and romanesque sculpture.

look like capitals ready to be fitted in the architecture
of those periods.
Also his full-relief
sculptures are highly appreciated and remarkable is the chromatic
selection of the stones which are used.
